The Friendly Hound has been fully restored over the past nine years to create a welcoming, comfortable home, which offers spacious Bed and Breakfast accommodation in En-Suite Rooms. As an indication of the standards you will enjoy when you come to stay with us, we have been awarded a "Visit Britain" Four Star rating

We are ideally situated in a quiet rural setting on the B6353 in the Borders Regions of North Northumberland, a short distance from the unique and picturesque village of Ford, and within easy driving distance of Holy Island, the Historical Town of Berwick upon Tweed and Wooler Town, "The Gateway to the Cheviots". With Scotland only a few miles to the west, there is the opportunity to discover the many attractions that abound on either side of 'The Border'.

	The Friendly Hound Cottage is a Non-Smoking establishment with three Double En-Suite rooms, ample parking, and a large garden and play area.
On arrival you can be served with Tea or Coffee in the Summer House, weather permitting.		We are open all year round and dogs are welcome by prior arrangement.
	A full English breakfast is provided using local produce wherever possible, with a vegetarian alternative, if required.

Each room has a colour TV, a clock radio and alarm, as well as tea and coffee making facilities. Hair dryers, iron and ironing board are available on request.		All our rooms are south facing and have a panoramic view over a particularly attractive area of the North Northumberland countryside.
	There are a number of friendly, highly recommended pubs within easy reach, offering a wide range of excellent, reasonably priced meals in restaurant style surroundings.
